The Joy Lamp adds character and light to interiors when space is limited.

The smallest shape in our collection, Joy Lamp's work well as desk lamps, accent lighting and bedside lamps in small bedrooms.

Bowerbird lamps are fitted with an Australian Standard B22 fitting and include an energy efficient LED bulb. The antique-finish brass neck adds warmth and contrast to the rich glaze tones.

Our Process

Handmade in our Brisbane Studio

Each Bowerbird ceramic piece is handcrafted in Brisbane by Bowerbird's founder and ceramicist, Peta Sweetman, and is available to order in our extensive range of glaze colours.

The clay body is slip cast and painted by hand. The subtle variations in the glaze are a mark of true artisan craftsmanship, ensuring each piece is unique.

How long does it take to have a custom ceramic lamp made to order?

For custom orders please allow approximately 4 – 6 weeks (expect longer delays during peak holiday times) for the lamp/s to be handmade in Brisbane and allow extra time for delivery. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details.

Is shipping included in the lamp price?

Shipping Australia wide is included in the price. Our Lamps are securely packed in house and sent with our most trusted couriers and covered by insurance.

Does it cost more to order a custom lamp?

No, there is no extra fee to custom order a ceramic lamp. It just takes 4 - 6 weeks longer than buying a lamp that is in stock now.

Is it possible to order a custom lamp with a different cable colour?

Yes we can custom make our lamps with white or black cables.
